The Art of Mediation: Clarity, Connection, and Consistency with Nashay Lowe

Hook

What if conflict isn’t a problem to avoid but a doorway to deeper understanding—and even business growth? In our latest .team Talks! episode, guest Nonie White shows how that perspective changed her life and how it can transform yours.

From Researcher to Entrepreneur

Nonie didn’t set out to become an entrepreneur. With a PhD in international conflict management, she expected a career in research or teaching. But a “happy accident,” as she calls it, led her to qualitative research, then to consulting and ultimately to founding Lowe Insights.

Mediation is one

The Three Cs Framework

At the center of Nonie’s work is a simple but powerful framework she calls The Three Cs:

  • Clarity – Know who you are, what you stand for, and the value your work creates. Without clarity, everything downstream “gets muddy.”
  • Connection – Build relationships, not transactions. Trust and empathy drive impact, whether with clients, teams, or whole organizations.
  • Consistency – Show up in alignment day after day. “That’s what builds credibility and resilience,” Nonie explains.
Consistency

Reframing Conflict

Nonie’s background in mediation shapes how she serves entrepreneurs and teams today. She sees conflict as a signal, not a failure: data that reveals what we’ve been ignoring. When companies treat it as discovery instead of defense, they create space for growth.

Her approach—facilitated dialogue rather than formal legal mediation—bridges research skills with real-world leadership challenges. From guiding co-founders through tense decisions to helping organizations surface hidden tensions, Nonie helps people move from “you vs. me” to “we.”

Building a Life, Not Just a Business

Stepping into entrepreneurship forced Nonie to grow publicly and imperfectly. She had to design systems that worked even when she wasn’t in the room and give herself permission to evolve in real time. She found unexpected support in the consulting community, where collaboration outweighs competition, and she launched The Resolution Room podcast to keep exploring conflict in everyday life.

Through it all, her own reflection remains constant. “Success is not linear—it’s layered,” she says, encouraging other entrepreneurs to pause, pivot, and redefine success on their own terms.
